Saturday October 8th, 2005 These photos were taken one week after the dedication during the Gardens' Autumn Ambience Festival.
The white blanket of snow from the pass two weeks of cold weather and snow
fall gives the area a whole new look.
After the December snow, the Lanterns
were wrapped in heavy plastic for winter protection.
Saturday April 22, 2006 After visiting the new Kenefick Park, Mike Bruening and I explored Lauritzen Gardens and visited the Sunpu Gate .
March 10th, 2007 After viewing the Stained-Glass Art Exhibit & the Spring Flower Show at the Lauritzen Gardens’ Visitor and Educational Center, I walked to the Founders' Garden, and back with a stop at the Sunpu Gate area. Its in the 60’s today, Just a week ago, Omaha had a March blizzard with a foot of snow! This Snow season, the Lanterns are covered with burlap, instead of heavy plastic for winter protection.
